Danielle Jaen

PROVISIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST

BA(Psych); GradDip(Prof Psych); MPsych(Ed & Dev)(Current); Assoc MAPS

Danielle is a provisional psychologist with experience in clinical and educational settings. She works thoughtfully to support children, adolescents, young adults, and their parents/guardians through a range of challenges including stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, emotional dysregulation, adjustment difficulties, interpersonal challenges, and sleep issues.

Danielle values a genuine, non-judgemental, and collaborative therapeutic relationship with each client. She utilises an empathic and person-centred approach and draws upon a range of evidence-based treatment modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based strategies, which are tailored to support each person’s unique needs and goals.

In addition to therapeutic work, Danielle is skilled in delivering cognitive and academic achievement assessments to children, adolescents, and adults presenting with cognitive, learning, and/or behavioural concerns. Recognising the vital role of family, school, and community in an individual’s development, Danielle values collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure recommendations are tailored and supportive of each client’s needs.

Danielle is currently working toward a Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology at Australian Catholic University. She is completing her final placement at Minded Psychology, where she is required to demonstrate psychological competency under regular supervision. Danielle is expected to gain her full registration as a psychologist by early 2026. Until this time, Danielle will offer her clients a reduced session fee, as they will not be eligible to claim a Medicare rebate.

Please note that given the temporary nature of Danielle’s placement, she will be best suited to clients who present with mild to moderate symptoms and who are seeking intensive short-term therapy. We recommend reserving a weekly session time with Danielle throughout her six-month placement to optimise therapeutic outcomes.

Danielle is an associate member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
