Meagan is an accredited counsellor, specialised child play and dance therapist, and supervisor. She holds a Master’s degree in Dance Movement Therapy, a Bachelor’s degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Play Therapy. Guided by a deep commitment to honouring the body’s innate wisdom, Meagan integrates somatic, relational, and neurobiological approaches in her work with children, adults, and families.

She provides opportunities for children to develop emotional regulation, communication, social engagement, and cognitive growth through the natural language of play and movement. Each interaction meets the child’s nervous system with safety, curiosity, and creativity, allowing their innate potential to unfold. Meagan supports children experiencing challenges such as anxiety, mood concerns, selective mutism, behavioural difficulties, social skill challenges, trauma, and neurodivergent presentations, including autism spectrum disorder.

Meagan is passionate about engaging parents and caregivers in the therapeutic process. She offers psychoeducation to help them understand the neuroscience of behaviour and provides practical tools to strengthen relational safety within the family. She also works with parent–infant dyads to nurture early attachment and attunement through co-regulation and embodied connection. With a background as a creative dance specialist in the early learning years, Meagan brings a rich understanding of how movement, imagination, and sensory exploration support developmental growth and emotional expression from infancy onwards.

Alongside her work with children, Meagan supports adults, including mothers and neurodivergent individuals, and those experiencing anxiety, depression, or trauma. She integrates body mapping, attachment and developmental exploration, and somatic practices to help clients reconnect with their bodies, build resilience, and create meaningful change.

Her therapeutic framework draws on interpersonal neurobiology, attachment-based theory, and synergetic play therapy, creating a bridge between embodied experience and relational healing. She works through a somatic lens that considers birth imprints and the ways early experiences and embodied memory shape regulation, attachment, and patterns of relating. Meagan is dedicated to helping children, adults, and families rediscover embodied presence and safety, allowing connection and resilience to emerge naturally.

Meagan is a member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and provides supervision services to psychologists and counsellors seeking to deepen their understanding of play and dance therapy.

Please note that Meagan offers a reduced session fee, as her services are not eligible for a Medicare rebate. Depending on their level of cover, clients may be able to claim a rebate through their private health insurance.
