Meagan is an accredited counsellor, clinical psychotherapist, and supervisor. Guided by a deep commitment to honouring the body’s innate wisdom, she integrates somatic, relational, and neurobiological approaches in her work with children, adults, and families.

In her work with children, Meagan supports the development of emotional regulation, communication, social engagement, and cognitive growth through the natural language of play and movement. With a background as a creative dance specialist in the early learning years, she has a strong understanding of how movement, imagination, and sensory exploration support emotional expression and development from infancy onwards. Each interaction meets the child’s nervous system with safety, curiosity, and creativity, supporting natural developmental progression. Meagan works with children experiencing anxiety, mood concerns, selective mutism, behavioural challenges, social difficulties, trauma, and neurodivergent presentations, including autism spectrum disorder.

Meagan is passionate about engaging parents and caregivers in her work with young people. She provides psychoeducation about the neuroscience of behaviour and creates personalised, practical tools to strengthen relational safety and connection within the family. She also works with parent-infant dyads to nurture early attachment through emotional attunement and co-regulation.

Alongside her work with children, Meagan supports adults, including mothers and neurodivergent individuals, who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, or the impacts of trauma. She integrates body mapping, developmental exploration, attachment patterns, and somatic practices to support insight, resilience, and meaningful change.

Meagan’s therapeutic framework draws on interpersonal neurobiology, attachment-based theory, and synergetic play therapy, creating a bridge between embodied experience and relational healing. She works through a somatic lens that considers how birth imprints and early experiences shape emotional regulation and patterns of relating. Meagan is dedicated to supporting children, adults, and families to rediscover internal safety and ease symptoms over time.

Meagan holds a Master’s degree in Dance Movement Therapy, a Bachelor’s degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Play Therapy. She is a member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia and provides supervision to psychologists and counsellors seeking to deepen their understanding of play therapy.

Please note that Meagan offers a reduced session fee, as her services are not eligible for a Medicare rebate. Depending on their level of cover, Meagan’s clients may be able to access a rebate through their private health insurance.
