Rebecca Sullivan

PROVISIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST

BA(Psych); MProfPsych(Current); MAAPi

Rebecca is a Provisional Psychologist with a background in community settings and over 20 years of experience as a meditation, mindfulness, and yoga teacher. She brings a trauma-sensitive lens to her work and has a particular interest in supporting adults presenting with issues such as anxiety, stress, low mood, relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, grief, and major life transitions.

Rebecca offers a warm, person-centred approach to therapy, focusing on creating a safe and welcoming space where clients feel supported in sharing whatever is present for them. She values working in collaboration with clients, shaping therapy to align with their goals and preferences while nurturing autonomy, self-awareness, and emotional insight. She has a deep appreciation for the ways people make meaning from their experiences and believes that even small shifts in perspective or behaviour can lead to meaningful and lasting change.

Rebecca draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), mindfulness-based interventions, and trauma-informed practices.

Rebecca is currently pursuing her Master of Professional Psychology at the University of Melbourne, and completing her final placement at Minded Psychology. As a provisional psychologist, Rebecca works under regular supervision and offers clients a reduced session fee, as they will not be eligible to claim a Medicare rebate.

Rebecca is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. (AAPi) and a student member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
