Our Growth

Minded Psychology has been shaped over many years through a commitment to creating a practice grounded in warmth, evidence-based care, and meaningful human connection.

Throughout this journey, we’ve had the privilege of serving our community. Of bearing witness to our clients’ growth, shaped through courage, perseverance, and strength. Of being invited into their inner worlds, often during some of the most challenging seasons of their lives.

Like many meaningful journeys, our own path has not always been straightforward.

In 2017, our initial fitout was impacted by a flood. We redesigned the gutters, but two further floods followed, leading to the complete demolition of our fitout and a full reconstruction of the stormwater system, twice.

We then built a second fitout, which preceded further property damage caused by the demolition of the building next door.

Each challenge asked us whether we would stay the course. Whether we would remain committed to the vision we had set out to create.

Through perseverance and an unwavering belief in the importance of this work, we continued to rebuild.

The space you see today was created with intention and purpose. A place designed to feel calm, welcoming, and safe. A place where people can slow down, feel understood, and engage in meaningful change.

Again and again, we were reminded that growth is rarely linear. It asks us to adapt, to persist through uncertainty, and to keep moving forward even when the path ahead is unclear.

Over time, we’ve come to recognise how much our journey mirrors the work our clients do every day.

Staying with the process.

Continuing when things feel impossibly hard.

Persevering, even when it would be easier to step away.

The courage our clients bring to this work inspires us.

It shapes us, not only as practitioners, but as people.

We feel privileged to walk alongside our clients as they move through the discomfort of growth.

Growth that asks for vulnerability, courage, and a willingness to keep showing up.

Growth that supports people to move towards a life that feels more aligned with who they are and how they want to live.

These experiences continue to shape Minded Psychology, informing not only the space we have created, but the care we provide and the values that guide us.
